| This little lady was lucky enough to find her way into foster care with SOS. Every year there are many more adult cats who are not as fortunate. |

every kitten or puppy that finds a happy home, four others are
unwanted, unloved, and possibly neglected or abused. Don't be part of the problem...be part of the solution! |
Over 1,800 dogs and cats are destroyed each year in Midland County due to overpopulation and millions more are destroyed each year in the U.S.
You may consider yourself a responsible pet owner, but the only sure way to keep your dog or cat from contributing to the problem is to have them spayed or neutered.
SOS Animal Rescue is now sponsoring a Midland County Spay Neuter Program. The program is available to Midland County residents. The program offers a voucher to low income households to help offset a portion cost of spaying or neutering your pet. The program is funded by entirely by community donations and is intended to service limited income homes, senior citizens on a fixed income, and other hardship cases.
To date we have assisted over 700 families with spaying or neutering their pets. Unfortunately, current funding is not keepig up with demand. Beginning April 1, 2008 we will only be offering vouchers for female pets until more funds can be raised. Additionally, each family is limited to one voucher per calendar year until more funding becomes available. Vouchers are distributed on a first come, first serve basis as funds become available.
Click here to download a spay/neuter voucher application. You can also obtaine one by calling us at: 989-689-6198 or sending an email to sosar@charter.net
The voucher may be used for the cost of the surgery only. Any excess funds will be returned to SOS Animal Rescue. Credits to the users account are not allowed. This program may not be combined with any other spay/neuter assistance program.
