SOS Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to reduce the number of unwanted pets in Midland County through placement and public education.
Who are we...
SOS Animal Rescue is a group of volunteers that is dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted pets in Midland County. We have three primary areas of focus; Education, Spay/Neuter Assistance and Emergency Fostering.
In 2005, over 1,800 animals were euthanized in Midland County, alone. The Fostering program provides emergency assistance to pets whose time has run out at the shelter, but it really doesn't fix the larger problem.
The Education and Spay/Neuter programs
are aimed at a long term solution to the fact that there are TOO MANY unwanted cats and dogs.
